In March of 2018 we got to take a trip to Colombia led by Disney Conservation biologists into the dry rainforest to see the endangered Cotton-top Tamarin monkeys in their protected habitat, and meet the local people who work with the conservationists to help save them and create a sustainable source of revenue for themselves to replace the need to hunt and trap the monkeys for the illegal pet trade. When we got back, I made this painting in watercolor and gave it to the head of the Proyecto Tití project as a thank you.

I identify with Newt Scamander on a spiritual level.... we are both Hufflepuffs, lovers of all animals, and awkward turtles. The kleptomaniacal Niffler is my favorite critter from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

A little digital watercolor sketch of my cat Tigerlily. When I had an illustration and art commission studio, she was my little mascot and this was on the back of my business cards. I still love it so much. This was done with a Wacom tablet and ArtRage several years ago.

Mood Cloud Project

The Mood Cloud was an interactive toy that I designed for my 3D printing class. I designed and 3D-printed the cloud-shaped shell in transparent plastic, and then created the Arduino innards using an Arduino Duo board with several sensors that detected the proximity of a sphere, what color it was, and that in turn activated the LED ring to light the same color.
This toy's purpose is meant to help nonverbal children communicate their emotions with caregivers.
